Part of the reason for so many JS boards is that Billabong has a deal where JS gets paid for every board he makes for their top riders - Taj, Andy, kolohe - and it costs him nothing but his time. There is no hesitation in him making them board after board - whereas a guy like Maurice Cole has to pay for them all out of his own pocket. There is the bulk of your reason why so many guys are on them (notice the guys almost ALL ride for Billabong!).

Ppl Said the same things about Taj riding For Greg Webber how can we blame a shaper for a Surfer not getting a tite JS is a good shaper its really up to a surfer...to win or lose...Andy won the tiles he got fair and square and is the only one to beat the Kelly for a title so good on him

There's no doubt that Matt can put out great boards, but don't knock JS. There's a reason every WCT rider has been seen on one.

yeah - 3 years on JS boards and no titles in those three years. millions of stock 6'1 exact copies for all the girls and boys as if everyone needs the same board.
