that's like saying the US will soon be Mexican. And europeans are naive granted but americans are a lot more naive and clueless(I'm french AND american and have lived in both countries). And I don't think you realize how uninfluencial the muslim community is in Western Europe.

Yeah but we dont need nuclear either! It takes roughly 2 square miles to build a Nuclear power plant. You can produce the same amount of power if you covered that 2 square miles with solar panels! Enough solar energy hits the Earth in one day to power the entire world for a year!! Why should we even have to worry about the nuclear waste whether its deep in the earth or not?

Youre missing the point. He doesnt hate the U.S. He says these things because he wants this country to get better!
If you had a child Im sure you'd love them deeply. But when your child does or is doing something wrong will you turn a blind eye? or will you make a point to let the child know about it?
I believe those who question have more love than those who blindly follow. Just because you point out our flaws doesnt make you a traitor.
It makes you a patriot!!!!

If Maher hates the US so much and loves France, he could afford the move, so why doesnt he just go? In France he probably wouldnt attract enough attention since there a lot of ppl just like him who hate Americans.

I know, that's true.
But the nuclear waste stays around for much longer.
Coal is worse, much worse, I agee. But swap themoney around - put the money from research in nuclear energy into green energy and vise versa.
Because they spend more money on that than on green alternatives.
Besides that... there is this hypocrisy surrounding nuclear energy, which I find detestable. - You know what I mean, right?

nuclear is greener than coal. power plants can even burn 900 tons of coal per day. and then worldwide 2 million people die each year cause of air pollution. how about pollution from nuclear plants? I heard some activists talking about radiation, but then workers would be very endangered so I dont believe this is true. and chernobyl power plant was a poorly constructed building.
and the waste from nuclear plants goes back deep inside earth, while coal comes out as smoke. thats green enough.
