This 3D medical animation shows the common indications for a cesarean delivery, including dystocia, placenta previa, fetal distress and multiple births. A cesarean section (c-section) surgery to deliver a baby in frank breech (feet first) position is also shown. During the procedure, the surgeon (usually an obstetrician/gynecologist, i.e. ob/gyn) makes an incision in the abdominal wall and uterus in order to deliver the baby. The animation also includes information on what to expect before and after the surgery. See more 3D medical animations from Nucleus Medical Art at http://www.nucleusinc.com/yout...

Why don't you look into having a v-bac(vaginal birth after c-section)? You might be surprised to know that for most women it's totally healthy and safe. Check with some local midwives or open-minded OBs. Working with a midwife has taken away alot of my fears about birth. Best of luck to you!

Each c-section poses more threats to your health by means of infection or complications from re-opening the scar. There can be psychological and physiological effects from your body's inability to understand what has happened. Some women suffer from depression because their animal insticts tell them that the baby is gone. For others, none of this occurs, but if it's possible, natural birth is best on the body and mind. docs WANT c-sect. b/c it's easier on them. C-sect rates are 33% in the USA.

I was born half a day early and was born from c-section because everytime my mom pushed my heart would lower down. And mom didn't see me until 3 days later. Because I was so small and weighed not much than 3-4 lb.I was premature so I look younger than I am by 5 years. I look 14 and I'm really 19.

not everyone is fortunate enough to have children. you gave birth which in itself is a miracle. you are by no means a failure.

I had a very traumatic birth with my son Lennon who's 2. I was 11 days overdue and stupidly chose to be induced. Then I had contractions for 22 hours and all they gave me was paracetamol!!!! then I tried pushing for an hour and that failed then we went to theatre and I tried a couple of times with forceps which failed so I had to have an emergency Caesarean and felt and still feel like a failure

Then, I'll give you the best of luck. :-\
