too right, i play this without using my thumb to push on a fret, tis not needed, and is not good technique

dicaniao150 don't do it! It is absolutely needless to pick up bad habits, you can play the piece without fretting with your thumb. Classical guitars, like you say have wider necks. You may think your strengthening your hand but in fact you are weakening your technique and could potentially harm yourself creating unwanted tension. This will in the end hinder your progress. Don't take my word for it though, see for yourself. Check out how a few other people play it.
