I have seen street trained thugs stomp on guys with almost 10 years training. However, I feel that one's schooling does make a difference. It would be like saying that a community college 2 year degree is equiv to 2 years at Harvard. However, the best thing to fighjt kung fu is kung fu, and the Shaolin are on the top of the fu-chain (snicker).

I thought you were style bashing, which is stupid IMHO but if you weren't then I apologize.
May I ask about your base style? What org do you fight in? Any success?
nicerebound (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
can i ask why you decided to try and teach me about my sport?
nicerebound (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
dude, i don't know why you are explaining this to me, i am an actual mma fighter an i know the history of the sport. tkd was never considered the best...ever.
and if you are referring to steve jennum when you talk about ninjutsu, then i think you are the one who needs a history lesson. not only did he use other styles to actually compete, but the rules were fucked up and he got subbed in during the final round against some nobody because the two real final contestants were unable to fight.

Sorry, to explain. I feel this video is a staged fight between two Kung-Fu practitioners. It was, however, well performed.

Yes, this is my understanding, too. A nice demo, though.
