As with both parts of "A New Machine", a live version was never officially released by the band. Because of Nick Mason's lack of drumming while Pink Floyd had been on hiatus, the track uses a drum machine. DOes anyone know the thinking/idea/theme behind the song as it was conceived by Floyd ? When i first heard it, I dreamt of a lonely time (imagined of course) on Antarctica...where i was left alone and the whole continent was playing this song...but that's how i feel whenever i listen to this song...may be the FROST..:)

pink floyd without waters, with gilmoure in the lead, are much better! the music is more tuching, more feeling! waters made a lot of strage song, but absolutely a lot of amazing and unforgettable songs aswell! pink floyd with gilmoure in the lead, that is the real floyd for me!
