Liquid nitrogen is made of nitrogen, not co2 lol
Cruzz999 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Ah, sry. I was thinking Celcius..

Liquid nitrogen is -330°F. And the reason that guy was able to swim in the water is because the liquid nitrogen turned into carbon dioxide before it even touched it!! :O
skaterworld101 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
thats awsome
IsawaMitaka (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
-300°F is possible, which is what I think Willettes1 is referring to.
Cruzz999 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
-300 degrees ins not possible. That aside, I meant the water'd be ice.
IsawaMitaka (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Boiling Point @ 1 atm: -320.5°F (-195.8°C)
Freezing Point @ 1 atm: -346.0°F (-210.0°C)
Just fyi. :-)
deanoz679 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
does it actually freeze the pool??
Willettes1 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
liquid nitrogen is formed by compressing the gas nitrogen in a room thats -300 degrees i dont think it has a ice form
potato8chels (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
liquid nitrogen is -195 degrees celcius. haha i learned that on a video in science today. |
