Well the basis of the new engine is that it's cleaner and they say it's quieter (which I don't believe there's much difference in). All of the Cummins engines appear to have a similarity within the sound of the engine. The ISC03 and 05 are still alike in some ways throug sound, but if you were to compare them, it wouldn't be hard to notice there is a difference.

I don't think the new ISC is any different to the old ones. the really sound the same as the C250 6CTA engines that were in teb original 2350Gs. the 240 in the 2350E however was a very different creature.

I know wat the metal plate is there for!!!! =] its...

That's a possibility... I reckon it'd be more to do with the exhaust as you said.
rallyausofficial (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
the plate i think is a rubbish deflector to stop rubbish from falling over the cab or exhaust look at my rubbish truck comp vid at 4:43 only wit out the plate hopefully that helps

No idea what that plate's for, wonder the same thing. Yer the newer Accos sound different, older Accos have the ISC03 engine and the newer ones have the ISC05 engine... mainly different during the lower RPMs, but when it gets into the higher RPMs they seem to be pretty much the same.
