The Colin Firths version of A&E/BBC production was awesome..Thats a true classic...and this Bride and Prejudice is a very light and joyous take on it. These two are the best version of P&P. Jane would be happy.

Actually, the story is taken from a British novel (Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen). It was made into a movie in 1940 with Greer Garson and Lawrence Olivier, a miniseries in 1995 with Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle (the best version, sorry), and finally another movie in 2005 with Keira Knightly and Matthew Mcsomething.
There was a series made in the 1980s as well, but it was supposedly so horrible that no one has seen it (including me).
