What, bites your tail hen he is horny? LOL!! And you are right, the beginning of the video is not a display of aggressive behaviour, but rather that of males trying to mate. I was quite surprised that NG would make that mistake. BTW, check out the frisky dolphin from turks and caicos - those were my friends with JoJo and he was very interested in one of the girls :)

Dolphins seem to react to any substance containing hemoglobin. The are attracted to blood as much as a shark but have a more sexual orientation. I'm one of the divers that can attest to their aggression. They also seem to be able to tell whether the blood is from menstruation or an injury. The reaction to dolphin menstruation is distinct and abrupt. Try not to get in the way of a horny dolphin. They are way, way stronger than we are, and in some cases, smarter..

Dolphins have been known to hit on other species. Bottlenose dolphins are especially fond of sex and not at all shy in showing their affections, as also some divers can attest.

Yeah, I agree with some of the posters regarding the "mean" dolphins. They don't look at all like they're rumbling. They look like they're about to mate. They look quite gentle. That little bite on the tail looks more like a love bite than a threat. My cat does that to me all the time. Hee hee!
