FUNNY! This song is an expression of pain and sorrow of the Jews under the brutal ruling of pharaoh over them. Today the Palestinians would be singing the same song about the brutality of some Jewish leaders over them. Many children are being killed.

This movie has always been one of my favorites. . not entirely accurate but it captures the essence of the story better than any other I've seen. Ofra Haza's singing is beautiful. This song always moves me.
