Rrod is caused by the xclamp. Its a deliberate move by microsoft so it goes wrong and you have to pay to fix it. Even the new xbox 360 slim has xclamps and costs more to fix
All it takes is for microsoft to screw the heatsinks to the motherboard and no more red rings

would i get rrod my couison had his xbox360 foor looong then i took it n it still works no problem lyk my friends whos n his second xbox which turns off somtyms.....the problem is my amps is not either 12.1 or 14 amps but 16.5 a.....am i in the safe zone...what chipset do i have

What's so bad about the jasper? I had 1 it lasted for about 2 years then blew up (no joke!) :(
