Ironic that those at MIT would have to rent out a movie on this subject for entertainment, when you have your own resident jester, Richard Lindzen to keep you entertained. I find his straw man arguments and his infrared iris hypothesis to be most entertaining. Then again, the arrogance of your post implies that you might just be buying into the hooey he spreads.

fourier - Gore's movie was accurate on main points and only inaccurate in a few non-critical details. I've suggested some useful sources below for those interested in understanding CO2-driven climate change. They include the U. Chicago "Climate Book", but for you and others without a climate science background, a better starting place might be the more basic wikipedia article, which, despite the snide remarks of some, is quite accurate, and includes important links and references.

At MIT we would watch "AN Inconvenient Truth" as a comedy. We would laugh our ass off with (big AL) trying to stumble through data that was not his ..nor does he comprehend the dynamic involved. For someone to put himself up in this venue without first reshearching the science..is a complete idiot. That's what your seeing.. All that money waisted for school..when all I had to do was be like Al Gore (a fortunate son)When I think of the term "dummy" This man comes to mind.

Anyone interested less in refereeing YouTube arguing than in understanding the evidence underlying warming driven by CO2 and other carbon emissions can find details in the literature (GRL, JGR, PNAS, J. Climate, etc.), but can also Google web sources as a start - "Global Warming" for a wikipedia overview plus references, "Greenhouse Effect" for basic physics, "Climate Book" for a mathematicaly rigorous analysis, and "Lean Rind 2008" for a recent paper with model-independent confirmatory data.

All climate monitoring, including the satellite MSU data, show resumption of warming following the temporary La Nina cooling of earlier this year. The pattern is typical of the ups and downs frequently seen during the past decades of CO2-driven warming. One example of the satellite data is at global-warming. accuweather. com/ (see the Nov. 6 comments showing temperature rising toward the long term warming trend line of 0.158C/decade.)
