≈♥≈ I hv been to Bali 2 times, it's one of the most beautiful island in Indonesia...EXOTIC People, food & tradition. And the beaches...are just AWESOME!! I love Bali Music...its so alive & unique. It really wakes up my soul. :D

god this makes me homesick. lived in jakarta and went to bali all the time. but i moved back to the US...i need bali!!

I went to Bali last year with a couple of my classmates, it was a great fun. I'd love to go there again in the short future.

actually it doesnt strike me as being much like Indian classical dance at all. Much more like Thai dance. Indian steps are far more structured and precise, with complicated interactions with the thallum ( rythym). Kutchipudi and Odissi and Bharatanatyam look nothing like this. ( this dance is graceful.... but simpleand spontaneous) that said, it doesnt nullify its connections to Hinduism

It has some influence, but the ndonesian part can clearly be seen.

Yeah, that's true. It resembles the temple dances very much. For example Kuchipudi. But there's also the substrate of the original Balinese culture which is very close to the Polynesian ones.
